ewe sculpture gardens glengarriff

Ireland’s  only  interactive  sculpture  garden is a  must  see  for  anyone  interested  in art, nature or a totally unique experience  -  the perfect destination for a memorable day out.

Set along a spectacular waterfall in the natural Eden of Glengarriff, it offers visitors a chance to step off the treadmill, slow down and rediscover our beautiful but vulnerable natural world.  It is a journey like no other.

Explore the meandering pathways and hidden corners, where curious creatures gaze back as you pass.  Take the Evolution Walk through the Valley of Eden, weave your way over bridges, past humorous sculptures and discover a surprise at every turn.

The creative haven of about six acres has been designed in four very different tiers up a mountainside - each with a theme: Water, Time, The Environment and Ancient Earth.

All ages will enjoy this fun, fantasy filled one kilometre walk, with educational information. Story and poetry lovers can follow the Yarn Spinner’s trail. Play the interactive games, find the dinosaur tracks or unlock the vault to see the most destructive animal that ever lived. Amble the fern labyrinth, pass the time with the human sundial, build your own Ewe Create sculpture or just relax by the waterfall with a cup of tea.

The Ewe lies on the N71 road, 3 miles north of Glengarriff, on the amazing mountain road to the trendy market town of Kenmare. GPS navigation N 51 46 37 W 9 34 09. It's on the gateway to the Ring of Beara, one of the most dramatic and unspoilt of Southwest Ireland’s famous peninsulas.
